What is involved with antifouling?
Antifouling is the process of protecting your boat’s hull from marine growth. This is done by applying a protective paint layer to the bottom of your boat, below the waterline.
What is covered in a full boat respray?
What a Full Boat Respray includes the complete external preparation and respray of your vessel.
Do you paint the interior boat painting
Yes and great care is taken to properly mask up and encapsulated areas before work commences. So as not to damage anything. Protecting your technical and electrical equipment as well as furnishings and fittings.
What precautions do you take with interior boat painting
All Tones Marine Painting staff are familiar with working in confined spaces and we have developed a system of performing jobs safely in confined spaces. This process ensures proper preparation and application of paint.
Preparation is critical, when it comes to painting the interior of your boat. Properly encapsulated areas before work commences so as not to damage anything. Protecting your technical and electrical equipment as well as furnishings and fittings.
Do you do fibreglass repairs, gel coat repairs, paint repairs or respray small boats or jet skis?
Only if the small boat or jetski are tenders on a luxury boat or commercial vessels we are working on. Or we regularly repair and respray your luxury boat or commercial vessel.
What is Gel Coat?
Gelcoat is a resin that has a high amount of pigmentation, which is what gives the boat its colour. Gelcoat is a very tough finish, but it is susceptible to cracking, chipping, and flaking due to age, wear and tear, and accidents at the dock.
Gel coat resin based paints are used in the building of new luxury boats and superyachts. Gel coat paints are used on the hull both above and below the waterline.
What is two pack paint?
Two pack paint is a very hard durable paint that is the normal paint used in resprays. Unless the original more pigmented gel coat paint finish is no longer used.
Do you do timber restorations on superyachts?
Yes we help preserve the appeal of timber both inside your vessel and on the deck.
What pain products do you use?
We only use the highest quality products on all jobs and no short cuts are taken.

Do you do Fibreglass repairs
All Tones Marine Painting performs many different fibreglass repairs from structural to cosmetic.
Do you clean up when you have done a repair and respray?
Yes always and we can also do a full boat details if you wish.
Hull inspections, how soon after lifting my boat from the water should my hull be inspected to see what needs to be done?
We recommend that you contact us before your boat is pulled out of the water. This way we can make sure we are available and onsite to get an accurate assessment of your boat’s condition.
Water blisters can disappear from sight within a few days after a boat is out of the water. Spider cracks in the paint might be harder to see as the hull completely dries. However, they will reappear as soon as the boat returns to the water.
So don’t be fooled, that the water blisters and spider cracks aren’t there!
