Antifouling
The Super Yacht Painting Specialists, The Boat Works, Gold Coast
Antifouling is the process of protecting your boat’s hull from marine growth. This is done by applying a protective paint layer to the bottom of your boat, below the waterline.
Boat Antifouling and painting is one of the best ways to protect your investment and pride and joy.
Most boat owners include boat Antifouling, repairs and painting as one of their yearly services and there’s a good reason why. Even the newest boats need repainting below the waterline every year. This is to fight against water blisters that form in the fibreglass, resist marine barnacle growth.
We recommend that you contact us before your boat is pulled out of the water. This way we can make sure we are available and onsite to get an accurate assessment of your boat’s condition.
Water blisters can disappear from sight within a few days after a boat is out of the water. Spider cracks in the paint might be harder to see as the hull completely dries. However, they will reappear as soon as the boat returns to the water.
So don’t be fooled, that the water blisters and spider cracks aren’t there!
Having All Tones Marine Painting Gold Coast view your hull as soon as it’s pulled out of the water will help us determine the proper schedule and needs for your boat painting.
